CONASA ÁGUAS DE ITAPEMA PROMOTES EVENT FOR KIDS AT JARDIM PRAIA MAR

An Environment Day action will take place with the support of the Residents Association of a neighborhood that has received sewage collection expansion works.

This coming Saturday, the 8th, at Escola Municipal Caminhos do Saber, kids from Jardim Praia Mar, the neighborhood that has received sewage collection system expansion works, will have a different afternoon. During the week in which World Environment Day is celebrated, Conasa Águas de Itapema will offer a fun interaction on environment preservation with emphasis on attitudes to prevent water waste and on the need to connect properties to a sewage collection system to treat residues. 

Under the theme “Water our Blue Treasure”, Company collaborators will raise the kids’ interest around the subject and show the importance of caring for the environment for the families. The event, realized with the support of the Residents Association, will count with the symbolic planting of tree seedlings around the school and fun activities with snacks for all participants.

In Santa Catarina, Itapema is considered reference in basic sanitation. Currently, 100% of the population gets treated water and 74% of the city’s sewage is treated. Since March of this year, new investments are being made to expand the county’s collection system in the neighborhoods of Jardim Praia Mar and Morretes. Until 2020, 90% of the generated sewage will receive treatment, bringing important benefits to public health and tourists, boosting Itapema’s socioeconomic development.
